Speaker Biography: James Altucher is a managing member of Formula Capital, LLC, a fund of hedge funds, and is the founder of Stockpickr.com, an online social network for stock picking. He previously acted as CEO and board member of Vaultus, Inc., a wireless data solutions provider for Fortune 500 companies. During the same time, Mr. Altucher was a partner in (212) Ventures, a New York-based venture capital firm funded by Investcorp between March of 2000, and June of 2001. Since 2002, he has also been a columnist for TheStreet.com, Street Insight, Street View, and most recently, Financial Times. Mr. Altucher, who has appeared regularly on Kudlow & Cramer, has authored several books, including Trade Like a Hedge Fund (Wiley, 2004), Trade Like Warren Buffett (Wiley, 2005), and SuperCash (Wiley, 2006). He is a US-ranked chess master and graduated from Cornell University with a BA in computer science and pursued graduate work in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University.
